Yeah, you can see that his experience of the 60's was from the vantage point
of Eastern WA; had he ventured farther east as I did at the time, he might
have seen a different view of the 60's, might have had a deeper understanding
of some of the events he mentions in passing, why the "Age of Aquarius" was a
popular tune, but an abyssmal reading of the times (he says with 20/20
hindsight). Looking at this and the site Ed mentioned, they seem to portray
someone who is longing for a past that did not exist at the time. Or if it
did exist, it only existed on the Ozzie & Harriet soundstage. Funny that he
doesn't mention the House UnAmerican Activities Committee or lynchings or ...
