Alan
I did read the entire thing and I find it very frustrating.
I don't think anyone believes that we don't have to pay for all the amenities we receive from OUR government, road repairs plus a 1000 million other things but.... what the heck. It has gotten so far out of hand that people feel helpless to do anything about it. It is difficult to fight when people feel hopeless or overpowered by "something" else.
What about double taxation? Why do schools close? What happened to Income Tax being a VOLUNTEER tax?
Why are our taxes continuing to go up and our services continue to be cut, especially the services we care the most about!
I don't put blame on the teachers or firefighters or police officers. It only makes sense that the blame needs to go to our ELECTED officials. The ones that are SUPPOSE to represent US.
How do we make more educated decisions when voting, especially since you can not trust what you hear or read, and it becomes a multi-faceted decision!
I will check out that book, thanks Alan for the tip.

COMMENTS: Not one of these taxes existed 100 years ago and our nation
was the most prosperous in the world, had absolutely no national debt.
had the largest middle class in the world and Mom stayed home to raise
the kids.
What happened???????
The only thing we can do is support THE FAIR TAX proposal by radio host
Neal Boortz,
and Congressman John Linder. It is a fantastic idea before
Congress now.
Buy the Fair Tax Book (paperback) for $14.00. only 198 pages long and
this fair tax will also bring back all the offshore companies BACK to
America and employment will go UP! (chapter 6)
