[Grovenet] Fwd: Oh NO, not Flat Fatima!

But eric. It is ok to lie, deceive, make up, as long as your goal is
achieved. Isn't that what you've defined in the other posts. Why is it a
problem if Rove does it?

As I suspected, this is a "scandal" fomented by
the conservative press, and those who feed from
that trough, and I would not be one bit surprised
if the fingerprints of Carl rove are not in
evidence. This method of spin has become all too
familiar. It reminds me of the swift boat crap,
hitting Kerry right where he was strongest.

Quoting Stevens article, "Reuters news service,
under relentless scrutiny from conservative
bloggers, fired a Lebanese photographer accused
of altering or staging photos of bomb damage.
In a Reuters report, picture editor Tom
Szlukovenyi’s decision to yank all 920 of Adnan
Hajj’s photographs was described as
“precautionary” after a review showed that two
images had been altered."

This is a quote from here:

This is NOT to forgive falsefication of
photographs or news stories. I do wish to condem
and call attention to spin and diversion
orchestrated as a smoke screen to take our
attention from the failed foreign policy of this
administration.

In todays paper on page A7 is a story about a
letter written by generals and foreign policy
experts calling to our attention that the Bush
foreign policy of locking our step to Israel's
and taking a "hard line" cuts us off from
negotiation and using our influence and good
offices in the search for peace. Steven brings to
us the diversion to deflect our attention from
such a rational approach and the resulting
critism when the Bush plan continues to fail our
nation.
