Lena,
  From what I can tell Martha is correct in that the FG library is not 
taking magazines during the remodel.  I had luck taking a bunch to the 
Tanasbourne library but that would be work for you.  If you want to get rid 
of them fairly quickly for the least amount of effort you can put them out 
by the sidewalk with a 'free' sign on them.  I've been amazed at how many 
things are taken that way.

  As far as the house goes I think the quickest way to sell a house is with 
a real estate agent. If they give you an estimate of it's value and then you 
price it a couple of  percentage points below that it should go pretty 
quickly, especially with 0.2 acres.  It might go to a developer who will use 
it for infill but it should sell pretty fast.
