One of the pleasant characeristics of the Northwest is that there is no
place that is unlivable.   Though a native of here, I've been around the
south enough to understand what unlivable communities look like.   Here the
people are much the same anywhere in the state.   You simply won't find
'bubba ville' in Oregon.

Geri, I believe I was a GroveNut long before I ever heard of Forest  Grove.

Our decision about where to live may boil down simply to wherever  we can
find the right house at an affordable price. Which is really not so  simple.
Can
any of you offer a heads up about certain shoddy home builders, or  about
high
crime communities I need to avoid?
