I remember very well when "The Hunted" was being
filmed out this way ... As I sit here listening to it
rain-rain-rain outside, I'm recalling that the movie
folks had to produce extra, fake rain for a scene on
one of the big bridges in Portland ... and all of us
thought it was quite funny that they needed *more* rain!!

Tell your daughter we think she made a good
recommendation to her parents. :)

: Thank you, Michael, for the info. My daughter is also interested in writing,
: so I'll pass this along to her.
: By way of introducing myself more to all of you, I'll mention a few
: biographical facts. Jen is our only child, single, works in L.A. helping produce
: motion pictures. It was while spending a year in Portland on location for "The
: Hunted" that she fell in love with that city. She joined her dad in Washington
: state during his fishing vacation last summer and the two of them were
: chatting about how wonderful it would be for all three of us to live in the Pacific
: Northwest...an area which had been in my fantasies ever since we drove down
: the coast in 1974. She hopes to move in another year or two. Jack retires from
: his civilian job next year, which will also give us some freedom.
: I had to retire a few years early from my salaried job, due to some
: disabilities from MS, and I've been busy with personal projects. The first part of my
: career was in magazine editing and writing, the last 20 years or so in
: advertising and public relations copywriting.
: Now I mostly write emails (smile) and sometime help out friends, usually for
: free...such as contributing to two books about MS.
