In case you missed Bill Bennett getting his
kiester handed to him on a plate over his support
of a ban on gay marriage:

It is significant that every change they mention
- slavery, women's suffrage, equal rights for
blacks - has been vociferously opposed by people
who thought they knew what was best for our
country and for humanity but didn't. Who would go
back on any of these? Come to think of it, there
are some who would go back on all three, even
today, even in the face of 20/20 hindsight. And
there is no debating with them. "Show me" doesn't
work with all people. Even when the results speak
to the correctness of the action.

In thirty years, maybe twenty, maybe even ten,
there will be same sex marriage. Take it to the
bank.
