We saw the Di Vinci code a couple weeks ago. Like Katie I usually prefer to
read the book first and find the book much more interesting. That worked
poorly back when "Patriot Games" was released. I finished the book the day
before the movie and the movie was disappointing.

For Di Vinci code the setting in the medival period of history is
interesting to me. It's a good to see some historical things and learn
something new. For example I had heard about the Templar Knights but had
little idea who they were. I had a hard time with the Tom Hanks character
having such absolute knowledge about things so old and from a time period
where I don't think we have detailed knowledge pertaining to secret signs,
symbols, and happenings. I can understand why some catholics are upset about
the story. I don't view it as cold hard facts. It's just an interesting
story.
