Grovenet is a microcosm of the larger world.  If you can't find ways  
to communicate with this intimate group of strangers, how can anyone  
hope to communicate the difficult ideas to others outside this small  
community?



BTW, one cubic meter of ice weighs about a ton?  I didn't think so.

1 meter is 100 centimeters (cm)
100 cm x 100 cm x 100 cm = 1 million cubic centimeters (cc)
Water weighs one gram per cc, ice about 7/8 as much.
1 million grams is 1000 kilograms
one kilogram is about 2.2 pounds.
One thousand kilograms is about 2200 pounds.  With the ice just about  
2000 pounds.
