I -think- I remember that Illinois asked Notaries to register themselves on
their line. Maybe (probably) Oregon is set up that same way.
I did find a lot more folks on the Illinois list. Again, if I remember
correctly, there were more in our little part of the state (I'm from a very
small county (9 square miles)) than were on the Washington Co list.
I doubt that we really have more...just more registered.
Thanks for the extra bit of knowledge. One should know where to find a
"good" notary in an emergency.
