This is hilarious.
The press was reporting that the pres was aghast and insulted that Colbert would say these things.  I guess that is what happens when years and years go by and your audiences are hand picked to only agree with what you say, no matter how unintelligible it is.  All of a sudden you are put into a setting that reflects what the rest of the country is thinking and it must be a huge shock.  The handlers are really not doing the president any favors by continuing to shelter him from  the reality of the world but since he likes to be sheltered he will continue to hear only the yes men speaking in his ear.
