2nd OpEdNews/Zogby People's Poll; Censure, Bush Lies, Stolen Election .....

"The 2004 Election Was Stolen. That's the opinion of a majority of viewers of every news network except Fox News viewers.  (See article excerpt** at the end of this --  Geri)  We've devoted a whole article to this, exploring who the Fox viewers are. 

"Electronic voting: 10% support electronic only. 87% want paper or electronic with paper. 

"63% disagree that the president has the right to use military force against Iran without the support of congress. 32% agree. 

"66% agree that a woman should have the right to chose an abortion. 28% oppose. 

"72% agree that health insurance should cover birth control pills (it's usually easier to get health insurance to pay for an abortion than birth control pills.) 22% disagree, and don't want health insurance to pay for birth control pills. (This is the real agenda of many anti-abortion pro-lifers. They want to end women's control of their bodies at all levels.) If you take the 28% opposing abortion and calculate the 22% who oppose coverage of birth control pills, that works out to 79% of anti-abortion activists also oppose birth control pill coverage by insurers. 

"53% want oil companies to be subjected to a windfall profits tax. 38% oppose the tax.

"65% support embryonic stem cell research. 26% oppose the research.

"56% say congress should bring back taxes to the top two percent of income earners. 

"72% support election financing requiring that all eligible candidates should get a fixed amount of money to spend on their campaigns to prevent influence buying. 22% support allowing candidates to raise asmuch money as they want from individuals, industry and corporations.

"52% say Bush LIED to so that we would go to war with Iraq. 45% say he was given faulty intelligence and did not intentionally mislead. 

"50% are satisfied with the investigation of the 9/11 attack on the World Trade Center. 50% are not satisfied or unsure, and believe there were other possible questions and explanations of the attack and collapse of the world trade center and that further investigation is needed. 

"47% support Censure of George W. Bush-- 19% for misleading us into war and 28% for illegal use of NSA spying. 46% oppose censure.

"49% support congress starting an investigation into vice president Dick Cheney that could lead to impeachment procedings. 46% Oppose it. 

"We are waiting on further crosstab analysis of the data. We believe that we will find that if you pull out Fox viewers, the rest of America has a far different view of America and the Bush Administration

"More to come. This poll was run May 9th through 10th, in Pennsylvania, by the Zogby organization. 

"Methodology statement from Zogby:
Zogby International conducted interviews of 707 likely voters online. Panelists who have agreed to participate in Zogby polls online were invited to participate in the survey. The online poll ran from 5/9/06 through 5/10/06. The margin of error is +/- 3.8 percentage points. Margins of error are higher in sub-groups. Slight weights were added to party, age, race, religion, and gender to more accurately reflect the population.

Of the people who watch Fox news as their primary source of TV news, one half of one percent believe it was stolen and 99% believe it was legitimate.
