[Grovenet] Socialistic response?

I don't know how much things will really change even if there is a shift in 
control of the house and the senate on Tuesday.
Partly because of what you pointed out - that the new D's if they get 
elected won't all vote along party lines and partly because even if Ds 
control a majority in each house (even by 1) they won't have enough votes to 
over ride a presidential veto.
They might possibly pass a law that allows for negotiating drug prices for 
Medicare Part D but if Bush fights it with a veto will there be 66% of the 
votes to over ride?  It will be closer on the other issues.
This has been one of the most expensive campaigns and all those who win will 
need to start collecting money again and the drug companies will be happy to 
get more congress people in their back pockets.
