Thank you.

There is a positive need to remember and honor those who have served  
our country, especially those who have returned broken or who were  
been brought home.

We also need to remember why they are needed.  What they can  
accomplish.  And what they cannot do.

And perhaps, sometime at the end of the day, we can remember the  
innocents who have been caught up in war.  At our best, we serve to  
protect, defend and release them from those who would enslave them.

Sometimes we lose sight of those goals.

Life is a messy business.  War is life in fast forward with no rewind  
or replay.  It is bloody awful messy.
