I suspect that no one who got acquitted ever said that!

Well . . . . . actually, it is a different, though very similar in
appearance and temperament, lady to the one Dale met. Not quite as much into
roses, so I may have to have Dale make a slight adjustment in a landscaping
quote he gave to me!!! Her name is Pat Hammond and she currently lives in
Bend. She is from the Pleasant Hill (outside of Eugene) area, where she went
to high school. Pat has four children and a great set of three sons- and one
daughter-in-law and eight grandkids, all of whom are grand!!
The first person I proposed to gave me my ring back after about 4 weeks. It
was a bit uncomfortable for both of us, but also probably the right thing.
At least my current fiancee, who had contacted me before my first proposal,
thinks so. Odd how the world and relationships work out sometimes.
In any event, I have been absolutely overwhelmed by the outpouring of love
and affection so many of you have expressed toward me in my happiness at
finding someone to help share the rest of my life. It almost puts the lie to
the old notion that "One cannot love a lawyer"!!
Thanks to all of you.
