Jess Borgeson and I were at Cal together and performed in Tom Stoppard's "Fifteen Minute Hamlet."  I played six supporting roles and Jess was Hamlet.

That summer, Jess went to work at the Renaissance Faire in Novato and hooked up with Adam and Daniel, and the rest is (mock) history.  Their "Reduced Shakespeare Company" travelled the world, including the Edinborough Fringe Festival, and one night Jess looked out in the audience to see John Cleese sitting in the second row.

Jess and I are still in touch (he lives in L.A. with his wife, Sa); he's finishing up a novel now as well as posting regular food review blogs for the L.A. area.  He no longer performs reduced Shakespeare, but several other Cal alums, Reed Martin and Austin Tichener still are (I think).

If anyone would like an autographed copy of Reduced Shakespeare Complete, I'm sure I could talk Jess into signing a few copies... let me know.

And oh... I'll try and skip one of my performances as Roderigo in "Babes in Toyland" and make it to this RSC performance... I'm telling you people... this is funny stuff!
