I hear the Secretary of State is warning the Iraqis they have limited time
to stop the shooting or they'll lose our "support". 

We already know how to do that. So do they. 

Put Saddam back in power, or someone just as vicious.  

I thought we had other goals. Something like representative democracy or
some other lofty goal.

What really concerns me is not what Ms. Rice said, but that a lot of
Americans probably agree with her. 

So, did all those American troops really serve and die for nothing after
all?
