[Grovenet] Am I on Grovenet bad list?

Maybe the Dems should resurrect that old slogan my generation was raised
with:
"I'd rather be dead than red!"
How soon we forget. There's a lesson in that.
Since the last election the Republican Party has kept President Bush under
control so he can't repeat the antics of his first term. That's good for the
country because it limits the damage this term. That's good for the
Republican party because many Americans will forget who even started the
Iraq war, or why, by the time they consider the next Presidential
candidates.
The one thing that has not changed is the mantra "Iraq = terrorism". Notice
how "Weapons of Mass Destruction" has fallen from use? The Republicans are
planning on a Republican administration when President Bush retires. That
administration needs a positive rationale for the Iraq war. Anti-terrorism
fits the bill nicely.
I believe most people vote for a vision of the future, not against the
mistakes of the past. As voters our disagreements are more about where we
want our country to go and do, not where we've been and what we've done.
Since I'm unhappy with the Republican President, I keep a close eye on
Republican-oriented media. I got a kick out of O'Reilly on FOX the other
day, talking with Senator Gary Hart. O'Reilly kept asking Hart what the
Democrats had to offer as a vision for the future. He didn't even react when
the Senator referred to the President's failed programs.
O'Reilly's not dumb. Neither are the Republican leaders.
I would hope that the opposition - Democrats, Greens and others - are smart
enough to do the same. If they campaign against President Bush I believe
they'll help elect whomever the Republicans promote.
Even another G. W. Bush.

Has anyone noticed the peculiar absence of party affiliation on TV ads for R
candidates? It just disappeared. One wonders why.
Along this line, note the R's change in the title they use for other
party...changed to Democrat Party (don't let grammar get in the way) from
Democratic Party. One wonders why. This would be like changing the R name
to the Republic Party instead of Republican.
Have a Groverly day! :-)
