[Grovenet] America's Propaganda Quagmire

One of the nice things about having never voted for Clinton is that I never
feel like I have to defend him.
This really isn't about Clinton. It is about the country.

A responsible media corporation could not be expected to make it absolutely
perfect but they should be expected to make it less than obviously slanted.
Bush has two more years to go and while you might like to think that they
will 'Clintonize' it to get in her good graces, if that is even a
possibility then they could just as easily be showing it 'as is' to suck up
to the bushies who are already there.

Call me foolish but I would prefer the networks to think about their
audience rather than potential political payback when they make programming
decisions.
With the emotions that run with 9/11 it seems particularly unhelpful to make
the message misleading on purpose.
This country deserves to have accurate and unbiased information so that they
can make informed choices. Or at least as accurate and unbiased as
reasonably possible.
In order for us collectively to understand where we are, we really should
understand how we got to this point, and not be sold a docudrama of
politics.

I wasn't planning on watching it and I'm not planning on watching the show
either. But it will be fun to watch what ABC does.
Whether they 'Clintonize' the movie or 'de bushify' it, I hope that it turns
out to be something that will lead to some respect for those who were
impacted the most and some understanding of how our country works and how
decisions of bombing other people is not a decision to made lightly.
