Wow - good on you for taking this on, Adam. We're involved
in a sponsorship of holiday food baskets already, but I sure
wish you well with your search for more ~
Also, I'd like to add to the "welcome" of the new (and re-newing)
GroveNuts who sent posts introducing themselves!

Subject: [Grovenet] A Brief Introduction...
: Hello.
: My name is Adam Hampton. I am a former GroveNet subscriber who
: has re-subscribed. This time, however, I have a purpose (more on that
: later) for being on GroveNet. Previously I had been a 'lurker'. I have
: resided in the Forest Grove area for about seven years (a newcomer, eh?)
: am married and have four children in the local schools. I am a stay at
: home dad and the husband of a very relieved-to-still-have-a-job-at-Intel
: wife. Maybe there is a support group out there for Intel spouses--at
: least there should be one.
: The real reason why I've re-subscribed is that I need the help
: of my Forest Grove community. Some of you may be aware of the Holiday
: Food Basket Program event that the Oregon Food Bank organizes each year.
: Families in need are hooked up with sponsors who provide them with a
: good holiday meal (sometimes toys and other things, too). The Food Bank
: decided it wasn't part of their 'mission statement' to continue this
: program--so the responsibilities have been divided into five parts
: throughout Washington County. I was the sucker who took Forest Grove,
: Cornelius, and parts of Western Washington County. What I really need is
: to find some sponsors for these baskets. If you have been a sponsor, or
: would like to be a sponsor, could you please get back to me? Any
: volunteers?
: Thank You
:
