This is a story that needs to be told.
Pacific’s Center for Gender Equity presents Meghan Gardiner and her
one-woman production of DISSOLVE: DATE RAPE DRUGS.
Date: Tuesday, August 28
Time: 8:00 p.m.
Place: MPR (downstairs) in the UC/Washburne Hall (www.pacificu.edu
for directions)
Actress Meghan Gardiner entertains and educates as she tells the
countless stories that were never told. For whatever reason- lack of
evidence, shame, fear- thousands of incidences of drug related rape
go unreported, and Meghan thinks it's about time something was done
to change the terrifying statistic.
Meghan has performed her one-woman show Dissolve over 200 times
throughout Canada and the United States. Meghan is a Vancouver-based
actress, who has performed at countless major theatres across Canada
and is also active in Vancouver’s thriving film and television scene.
She is a University of British Columbia acting graduate, who also
trained at the British American Drama Academy in Oxford, England.
Dissolve is her proudest accomplishment, and she is currently
creating a documentary about the show and the issue, and has also
been commissioned to write an adaptation of the piece, in order to
reach international audiences.
