Huh?  I thought the liberals were trying to rid the world of cars.

Or is it just a knee jerk reaction to blame everything on one group  
of people?

Oh, speaking of groups of people who get targeted, did you know that  
an SUV driver who blows through a stop sign and hits someone is more  
likely to kill someone than a passenger car driver who blows through  
a stop sign and hits someone?  If they hit them in the side it is a  
factor of 10 to 1.  If it is head on crash, it is only 4 to 1.

Statistics are wonderful.  SUVs have a fatality rate of 13.84  
persons / 100,000 vehicles,  pickups have a fatality rate of 15.13  
persons / 100,000 vehicles, both of which are higher than passenger  
vehicles.
