Liberals trying to rid the world of cars?

Hardly.

Liberals trying to rid the world of firearms?

Absolutely!

Maybe liberals are trying to rid the world of gas guzzling vehicles, but
the environmentally friendly compact hybrids are just as deadly when it
comes to pedestrians and cyclists.

Personally, I have been chastised  by many of the liberal persuasion for
being a gun owner, but never as a motor vehicle owner.  I have never been
chastised by a conservative as being a gun owner or a vehicle owner.  Could
it be that most conservatives realize that both are inanimate objects and
that it makes more sense to focus on the operator?

Knee jerk reaction to blame everything on one group of people? I don't
think so. Explain to me why vehicles as a deadly weapon is not a "cause du
jour" for people of the liberal persuasion.
