I installed a french drain system in my basement
a few years back and every winter I wait and
wonder when it'll have rained enough to raise the
water table and cause my sump hole to fill to the
point the pump starts its annual cycle of waiting
for the sump hole to fill, draining, filling ,
draining, etc. (which usually lasts until
March/April). Well, earlier tonight I heard the
sump pump kick on for the first time this winter
season. I know we've gotten a LOT of rain since
late last night. Anybody know how much?

 Allen Warren
