Why yes we do have a process.  Generally the states have standards  
for the conduct of their elections, with court challenges of the  
process to ensure that it is carried out in a legal manner.  Where  
there is impropriety the courts have traditional legal remedies.   
Gore worked within the Florida legal system to obtain the required  
recounts of the ballots in the challenged counties as allowed by  
Florida law.

The Bush team, asked the Supreme Court to overturn the Florida actions.
