[Grovenet] Verizon FiOS v. Comcast

There's an old saying about how the 'cheap' turns out to be the most
expensive...
When Verizon needed to speak to me directly for security reasons, Easystreet
conferenced me into their call too so I had the Easystreet rep on the line
to make sure it was handled correctly.
Nothing beats effective customer service!

Interestingly, I ran into the same nonsense with Qwest when I had DSL with
them in Eugene. I was smart enough to not use them as my ISP. The local
provider (Willamette.net) was owned/run by a bear of a man that bragged of
being a chopper pilot in Vietnam and would say "None of my customers are
going to take this crap from Qwest" and would conference them in to fix the
issue. Sadly this had to happen numerous times because Qwest sucked so bad.
When my business partner and I moved to the Portland area and started
looking for colocation providers for our server hardware we got several
recommendations for EasyStreet. Even though their colocation service was
more expensive than some other providers in town, we decided to go with
EasyStreet because of the same sort of technician availability and
reliability you cite. We've been there almost two years now and are
extremely pleased.
