"The Witch's Garden:  The Hidden Meaning of Fairy
Tales" is the title of the program this Wedneday, 7
PM, at the Forest Grove Community Auditorium, 1915
Main Street, Forest Grove.

"Fairy tales have a fascinating history, especially in
light of the socio-historical forces that played a
role in the transition from oral folk tale to the mass
media and animated film.  Western Oregon University
English professor, Curtis Yehnert, discusses the
fascinating history of folk tales, exploring the ways
that they help children make sense of their feelings
and understand themselves in a complex world.

This program is FREE and sponsored by The Friends of
the Forest Grove Library and the Oregon Council for
the Humanities.
