[Grovenet] Aged Prime beef source?

When the "Secret Shopper" made his report about Forest Grove, he
indicated that the special "sizzle" of Forest Grove is a well kept
secret. So well kept, that he hadn't discovered it.

He told the audience that we need to identify the things that we
offer that travelers cannot get closer to home. Chuck's blog may go
a way towards getting the word out, but if we want it to work we have
to actually put our collective fingers on those identifiable things
that can set us apart. After all, everyone already lives in a
"family city", a "friendly city", a "special place" or the "gateway"
to everywhere else. He suggested that we need to really find those
things that differentiate us, so that we can "sell the sizzle" to
attract people who want to be here, and just don't know it, yet.

To that end, just how many buffalo farms are in the Metro area
anyway? How many resturants that can dish up real Ukrainian food?
Could the live theaters of the county arrange their schedules so that
a new show opens every weekend somewhere in the county? What can
attract athletic contests? Draft horse demonstrations? Custom and
specialty car meetings? What is the special and unique features
offered by our merchants? The service is great and friendly, I
wouldn't go anywhere else, but is it enough to entice someone to
drive 10 or 30 miles to get here?

One thing the speaker pointed out, most of the tourists nationwide
are going to a location to visit family and friends. So, most of our
tourists are coming here to visit people who should already know
about Forest Grove. Have we gotten the word out to our citizens?
Does your new neighbor know about "Pizza burgers and peanut butter
milk shakes"? Genoa pizza and Stewart's Ginger Beer? Do they know
were to go on a Friday evening here in town? Where are the live
music, political discourse, computer games, skate board park, and
places to "hang out"? Where can you go for a beer that doesn't serve
smoke?

Do we have that "Block Buster" item, that "killer app" that sells the
product?
