[Grovenet] Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration on Monday

Pacific Univ. will host events in honor of Dr. Martin
Luther King Jr. both on and off campus on Monday,
1/15/07.
 
A march will gather at 11 am at Rodgers Park @ 18th
and Elm streets, and continue to Marsh Hall, on
Pacific Univ. campus.
 
After the march, a celebration will happen at noon in
the fireside lounge at university center. Activities
include speaker Norm Monroe of Cascadia Behavioral
Healthcare, Ir. King's "I have a dream" speech read by
a student, and a birthday cake. Pies for Peace will be
selling whole pies and slices, to benefit Mercy Corps'
efforts to assist war-ravished places in the world.
