Also, I note that the man who suffered a gruesome death, Saddam Hussein, is
the only of the three who died at the hands of men in mocking ritual. 

I wonder what God thinks of men who take vengeance and retribution out of
his hands and into their own?

It seems to me Jesus had some clear words on the subject.
