I'm sorry to hear that Steven, and you have a valid point. 

And it's a much tougher issue than whether it's legal to require someone to
pay taxes to eligible to vote.

My mother suffered from dementia for five years. Yet she had the right 
to vote and got her ballots. To imagine a person who spends her days 
inspecting the shadows on the wall deciding who should be in office is 
shocking.
Could that have been an issue in Florida in 2000?
