It would seem that our administration has found one more way to pass
the cost of the Iraq war unto the soldiers and families of our
service people.
The soldiers that I personally know who have served in close combat
went through a life changing experience, because some of their
buddies went through a life ending experience. For the military to
deny them benefits to "make them whole" or to help them come back is
pretty slimy.

So, what is so wrong with caring for our people? If a 20 minute
evaluation is sufficient to weed out soldiers with a "personality
disorder", perhaps that should be done in boot camp to save us the
problem of doing it later after they have been in combat. Unless, of
course, it is being done because people who have been in combat are
transformed by the experience, and that they do develop personality
disorders because of their combat experience.
