John, what often works with a slow connection is to just play it and turn
off the sound while it slowly stumbles its way through, then click on
"replay" (or slide the pointer along the bottom back to the beginning) and
watch it then.

In many cases the presentation is stored in your machine's memory during the
first run so it doesn't have to come across the net connection for a replay.
If so, on the second try it'll play from the local copy in RAM smoothly
without interruption.
