Forest Grove's first "Take Back The Night" march, rally and vigil
takes place on Thursday, March 8th starting on the campus of Pacific
University. Gather in Trombley Square at 6:30 p.m.

"Take Back The Night" is a protest against sexual violence. This
violence manifests itself through sexual assault, abuse, and
harassment, rape, domestic violence, incest, and homophobic and
transphobic-motivated hate crimes. Sexual violence is an issue in all
communities, including ours. "Take Back The Night" is a powerful,
public event affirming everyone's right to be free from violence. The
event will consist of a keynote address held at Trombley Square and a
march through Forest Grove to show solidarity and resistance to
gendered violence as survivors and allies. A Speak Out session for
survivors and allies to share their experiences and stories will take
place after the march. The event will conclude with a candlelight
vigil. Sponsored by the Center for Women & Gender Equity.
