[Grovenet] What Value Honesty?

True, David. The point I found interesting was the answer to a very old
question of mine, "With so many dishonest, corrupt people in our society,
how do we survive?"
Saw an interview with Donald Trump by Wolf Blitzer today on CNN.
Interesting. I found myself agreeing with Mr. Trump without hesitation on
these points:
Both H. Clinton and Giuliani are viable candidates (he flatly stated that he
frequently votes Democratic, preferring independence to a party allegiance).
He felt that the Democrats, as a political party, made inexcusable blunders
in the last Presidential election. With the war going so badly, the
Republicans handed the Democrats the Presidency on a silver platter and they
muffed it so badly the President, who Trump called "The worst President in
the history of the United States" was re-elected. (Trump's attitude toward
'losers' is a matter of public record, and a TV show. <G>)
I'm pleased to see that, in spite of the ranting of the extremists still
trying to hold onto control of the Republican party denouncing him, Giuliani
is way ahead in the polls. If the Democrats can't do better next time, I'd
like to see someone like Giuliani running on the Republican ticket.
I also agreed with Trump when he said that if the candidates turn out to be
Giuliani and H. Clinton, it will be a wild and interesting campaign.

The Major General who conducted the training of Iraqi troops was
pretty critical of the administration. It doesn't take that many
dishonest people to damage the system if they are sufficiently powerful.
