Ron,
I'm with you. If enough of us refuse to buy Christmas stuff until
after Thanksgiving it wouldn't be such a problem. The hard part is
just convincing everybody else that they too would be better off by
waiting.

Check out Buy Nothing Day. They are trying to make the day after
Thanksgiving be the day that people dedicate to buying nothing. Of
course they don't make a dent in the post TGvg sales but it is a sign
that others are out there.
