[Grovenet] What happened to Dairy Queen?

As to the sad state of affairs for restaurants in FG...
Any chance someone might put together a survey via surveymonkey.com? This
might help the economic leaders of Forest Grove understand exactly what kind
of restaurant is needed in Forest Grove. It seems they did a paper-survey a
couple of years ago that came in the utility bills. But, I haven't seen any
improvements or changes. Unless the Chinese buffet in the Safeway plaza is
considered a 'change'.
I too, would like to have something that doesn't serve hamburgers and French
fries. Recently I had lunch at Panerra on Cornell in Hillsboro (near GI
Joes and JoAnne fabrics) and it occurred to me that something in this realm
might be far more successful in Forest Grove. They had soups, Panini
sandwiches and a great kids menu. It would be nice to see more healthy
foods served.

I'm with you on Jack in the Box. I just don't do fast food. At one
point I heard they were tearing it down and starting over, and on the
other I heard they were going to try and remodel from the inside out.
Who knows.
On a side note - I have been rebuilding my little Forest Grove website
from the ground up. I have a dining section and will eventually be
highlighting the "Best Dishes" of all the restaurants. Not sure what
Grampys will provide - but we'll see. The intent is to get folks to
rate the restaurants and comment on the dishes so we can all get a good
sense of where the best place to go and eat in Forest Grove is.
Currently the dining section is down, but the rest of the site is up and
running.
Might be worth a look.....
