Today, we eat what was a special treat to previous generations.
Sure sugar has been round a long time. But it was a treat, not a staple.
Cocacola was something you had after a movie on date night. (before that it
was a medicine). And that coke is the worst thing on Chuck's burger meal.
Even going to McD's was a special treat as a kid. Today it is where many
stop every day.
Ice Cream. Big Potroast or other meaty meal. French Fries... Think of any of
these and remember how we used to eat them. Imagine this going on for
generations.

Has it? I thought it was the reverse: fat content had gone way up over the
past several decades.
