[Grovenet] Productivity?

Agreed they should be behind bars and not enough of them get there.

Hmmm . . . starting to see similarities between Government and a particular group of "businessmen" historically comprised of individuals hailing from Italy/Sicily. You can be a "Made Man" in both groups . . . get special priviledges . . . never have to really worry about money . . . may have to perform less-than-desirable work from time-to-time. Biggest difference is being in one group is considered illegal. Other than that, similarities are frightfully close!

Yeah, in marketing and sales we call those data manipulators "con men" and
note that their proper position is behind bars.

Unfortunately, not enough of them get there.

Problem here is we're trying to apply what we believe to be correct logic
and accurate data while the current administration is crafting a message
based on their manipulation of the data to support their position. We will
always be at odds.

Aaah the joys of politics . . .

Or Darth Cheney, "if you will...we have seen the last gasp of the

The news is filled with wonderful accounts about how death rates in
Iraq are back down to 2006 levels.
Hmmm. What if we evaluated in terms of productivity?
We are accomplishing in 2007 with 160K troops what we accomplished in
2006 with 130K troops.
We live in a strange world where taking more troops to do the same
job will be heralded as wonderful 'progress'.
I can hardly wait for Rumsfeld to come out of a closet somewhere and
proclaim that this proves we have finally turned a corner in Iraq.
