More Immigration, eh?

I see the Cubans are arriving in record numbers again. Not by sea. The coast
guard is too good. They come by land: so-called "dusty feet" instead of "wet
feet". They cross to Mexico, much easier to do than the trip to Florida and
no coast guard to deal with, hop on an airline to a border town in northern
Mexico, then walk up to a US border guard and they're in, legally and
without delay as soon as they announce they're Cuban. At that point they're
standing on American soil which guarantees them the right to be legal,
permanent residents. 

There's got to be a huge business making counterfeit docs for Mexicans who
want to pose as Cubans too.  

Why spend money killing poppies? We Americans keep the drug trade alive by
making the drugs illegal. One thing about a free country is that anyone can
break the law if they choose and, if they're careful enough, they can do it
for a long time before they're caught. Then there's someone else to take
their place. And when there's a whole segment of society who want them to
break the law, they have lots of help avoiding capture for a long, long
time. Not only have the billions of our dollars not done one iota to reduce
illegal drug usage, we've never been able to interdict enough drugs to
affect the street price! 

I don't know what the right answers are to our problems. Guess I shouldn't
feel bad. We Americans seem to specialize in wrong answers. Guess that makes
the President a good Americana too...

With friends like these, why do we need enemies??

I think it's time to also get out of  Afghanistan!!

Give  6 months notice that we are leaving, give sanctuary to all who 
have assisted us, and get the hell out of that place so we can start 
dropping Agent Orange on the poppies!!
