We are growing up connected. Connected to our iPods, connected to our
cell phones, and connected to the internet. Do we have a problem? Is
our technology serving us well? Is the internet your main form of
communication? Can you protect yourself from predators on the
internet? Has living the connected life disconnected us from things
of value? Have we created a Digital Divide? Have teachers integrated
ICT's into their curricula? Has our technology facilitated happy,
responsible and satisfying communal life? Do women have equal access
to participation on the internet? What is the future of the online
culture? Has technology furthered the essential developmental and
educational goals of our children? Are we the same person when we go
online?
This Town Hall will explore the impact of Information and
Communication Technology (ICT) on culture, human development and
education.
