[Grovenet] Interesting Reading ... for future thought!

Hey gang, I just completed two books worth mentioning:    "HILLARY'S CHOICE" by Gail Sheehy and "THE AUDACITY OF HOPE"    by Barack Obama ... I also watched "WE WERE SOLDIERS" by Randall Wallace with Mel Gibson playing the Real Life Role of Col. Moore ... and that got me seriously reflecting on my tour during the Vietnam fiasco ... watching "PATH to WAR" which is the historical view of how we got into that idiotic mess (in case someone in this group is younger than me?) gives one pause ... why is this country following the current path given the known (meekly shared facts) information we have and considering history as a guiding light ... and for those who think being blind is some sort of patriotism ... how would any American like it if Russia had come over during OUR civil war and separated this country?  AND for those who eco the current scare tactic: "oh god if we leave ... it will be chaos"  well that is a 60's-70's tune and that dog shouldn't hunt again!  Doug
