What better way for any member of Congress to distance him(her)self from the
President?
I hope some good come out of the chaos!
At the risk of starting another chaotic exchange here (like the one over
wood fires) I'd like to share a funny story that is true - I watched it live
on TV.
Donald Trump, a likely conservative if there ever was one, was being
interviewed about the latest O.J. Simpson mess. Apparently Mr. Trump has
known O.J. personally.
Mr. Trump opined that O.J. has 'blown it' this time.
Referring to O.J.s trial for murder and subsequently-lost civil suit, and
the huge public opinion against him since that time, the reporter asked
Trump if O.J. was "the most hated man in America."
"No, no" Trump replied. "The most hated man in America today is President
Bush."

The Senate, with an overwhelming bipartisan vote today, broke a filibuster
and prepared to send President Bush a $35 billion measure that would revamp
and expand the State Children's Health Insurance Program, setting up the
biggest domestic confrontation between the president and Congress since Bush
took office.......... http://tinyurl.com/3xflrv
