Again, you are twisting the meaning of my words.
I stand behind my observation as you quoted it below.
I do not agree with your analysis of what you try to infer I meant.
I'm not "pushing" for anything, nor am I giving a blanket endorsement of our
current administration or in any way endorsing President Bush.

Ron,
There you go, pushing for the elite to control our foreign policy
instead of relying upon democracy. <smile>
Seriously, the encouragement for another attack on our soil is
already out there.
We have Iraqi who are prepared to kill us if they get the chance, and
this was not the case five years ago. We have a training ground in
Iran where terrorists can train and practice attacks on first line
American military personnel. We have Turkey moving to a religious
state. We have Iran and Venezuela gaining prestige by opposing the
US. We have a resurgent dictatorship in Russia. We have a nuclear
armed North Korea that didn't exist seven years ago. We have a
strengthening Taliban in Afghanistan that we didn't have four years
ago. We have a growing movement in Africa that is being ignored.
Palestine is become more destitute. Etc.
So, what has improved in the last 7 years to indicate that the
current president is doing something besides spending money and
spilling blood in a part of the world that believes in blood feuds
and vengeance?
The suicide bombers are not deterred by reprisals, by that time they
are already dead. The defense against this sort of thing is good
intelligence. And that requires that the civilians trust us and like
us enough to inform on their neighbors and family. Good intelligence
is not a hallmark of this Republican Administration.
