I spoke with another person about your comment on the judge's race,  
and the response was a bit unnerving.

That person said that their initial reaction to the situation was,  
"that shows that the police are under pressure to fall into line with  
the federal standards and want judges to help them.  Funding is  
withheld if they don't have the right certifications or if they  
resist federal security mandates.  The authority is being taken away."

Right or wrong, the perspective is truly scary.  "Big Brother"  
defending us against terrorists.  I surely hope that they are wrong.
