I would suggest that the laws that are written, and the decisions of  
our courts are easier to understand and (if it ever possible) easier  
to keep consistent if they don't have the added confusion of  
differing linguistics.

In Switzerland, I understand, a court case many involve laws and  
decisions written in different languages, and that the courts must  
understand and apply each law and decision in the language it was  
written rather than in a translation.  I have no idea how they handle  
a situation where the subtle points of German pushes the  
understanding in one direction, and subtle points of French pushes  
the understanding a different way.
