In other words, despite the birth of this nation being built on a group of
people that were fleeing a nation that was imposing *their* brand of god
upon their subjects, we seem to have come full circle and are now imposing
the same sort of religious ideology, bastardization of spirituality for the
advancement of political agenda, and instilling a horse-choking dose of
shame into any young soul that should dare think spiritually in
"unconventional" ways.  If there is a higher power of any sort, it ought to
be unfathomably disappointed.
