[Grovenet] Focus the Nation, night 2

Tonight the Focus the Nation meeting at Pacific University presented  
Oregon Secretary of State Bill Bradbury giving a slide show based  
upon the Inconvenient Truth.

Funny thing.  They were talking about the problem of Global Warming  
caused by human burning of fossil fuels to produce green house gasses  
like CO2.

The other main topic on grovenet lately has been the LNG pipeline.

The benefits of the LNP pipeline appear to be that:
It will provide jobs dependent upon the burning of natural gas to CO2.
It will provide an expanded source of natural gas to those who wish  
to burn natural gas to CO2.
It will keep the price of natural gas low relative to the cost of  
alternative energy.

I wonder if the biggest argument, in favor of the LNG gas pipeline,  
may be that it allows us to continue to create CO2 and advance on the  
path to global warming.
